Interesting Thread at It's Only Key West

There's an interesting thread developing over at It's Only Key West. The group has, up until now, avoided the political discussions that have infected may of these kinds of forums. Once that happens, the main focus, the reason for being of the group often oses some of its focus, and begins to attract others who might not share a passion for the group's purpose. Some people get uncomfortable when "arguments" break out -- Bush/Kerry are bad/stupid/immoral -- those kinds of arguments.

There are lots of places on the internet where I go for political information and to engage in political discussion. Or to find out and discuss what Apple Computer is up to, learn what's new in the Disney affair -- those kinds of things. There are only a few places I go to study and discuss Key West and the Keys. The two best ones, in my opinion, are the ones I've already written about. They are over -------> there in the right column, The Citizen and IOKW.

By and large, I'm going to stay away from the political debate here as well. I'm a compassionate libertarian, and that's that. As Popeye once said so brilliantly, "I yam what I yam, and that's all that I yam". (I must rent that movie again; it's been a long time.)

Anyway, I just wanted to mention IOKW again. I'm trying to get upgraded to "resident" there before we actually become residents again.
