Moving Forward

73 Days left before we leave for KW. All is well.

We're selling off (on eBay) the camping equipment we bought for our "Year in Ireland" tour in 1997. That turned out to be 4-1/2 months in Ireland and a month traveling in Europe, but its still one of the highlights of our life. We're getting a lot of interest (and a few bids) on the tent, and we have a single bid on each of our two backpacks so far. At this point, it looks like we'll clear at least a couple of hundred dollars on the lot. Its about $750 worth of stuff at original and replacement cost. We're not likely to ever go camping or backpacking again, so -- time to move it out.

The good KW citizens over at IOKW are stirred up over city government and some of the things going on in our fair city these days. In particular, the recent decision to grant a license for upscale, short-term rental condos on the Jabour property at the waterfront.

The Red Sox are off to a great start. They beat the Twins in their Spring Training opener yesterday. Woo-hoo, there's no stopping us this year!
You can take the boy out of New England, but you can't take New England out of the boy.

There's a walkabout starting at noon today by a gang from IOKW. Wish I could be there. I'll try to catch them on the Hog's Breath web cam at around 1:00 PM.
