The Key West Chicken Lady

Among the new people I have come to know since returning here is the "Key West Chicken Lady", Katha Sheehan. Katha is a pro-chicken activist, a chicken rescuer, and the proprietor of the Key West Chicken Store. I've done a bit of computer work for her and expect to do more. Fortunately, she's an all-Mac computer user, so working on her complement of three computers is relatively easy for me.

I don't know her well, but in addition to her chicken duties, Katha has been a writer for the Key West Citizen, a candidate for mayor, and other things, I'm sure.

The Chicken Store web site will give those of you interested a little more information about its mission and some of its history.

The 'Real Key West' didn't have chickens running around wherever they wanted! I have spoken with many Conchs in my 23 years here. They said that chickens were on farms, not all over the island.
