Saturday dawns bright and clear

Saturday, 9:30 AM. Even the bugs seem to know that something is happening. They are more numerous than usual or, at least they are stirring more. Or maybe it's just that Mosquito Control hasn't sprayed recently -- and probably won't any time soon.

We're making ready to go out. I'm bringing the camera and computer, as I have a feeling that we're going to end up at Schooner Wharf. I ought to be able to write from there later.

We're going to check on Joel & Mike's house, grab a picture or two there. Then to see what's shaking at the Butterfly Conservatory. We'll grab a coffee at the Coffee Plantation before we go. Theo and Diane are making everything 'on the house' today. We stopped there yesterday afternoon, and walked in on a party in progress. Margarita's, chips and dip -- and five people including the Glories.

There is an uncommon silence outside, just as it was last night. I expect that we'll find very little activity other than in the usual hot spots -- the bars. The Green Parrot was open yesterday. So was Schooner's and Rick's. Sloppy Joe's and Captain Tony's were both boarded up.

OK, we're on our way.
