Wanderings

I have twenty minutes left this morning to blog, then Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to work I go. I have another new job. Tracy, a friend of mine, has a tile and marble setting business which he operates from his home on Big Pine Key. Quite naturally, most of his business is here in Key West, so he rented an office at the corner of Duval and Petronia streets, upstairs from the Bourbon Street complex. I'm helping him get it set up, organizing a filing system, setting up work calendars, getting his books set up on QuickBooks, those kinds of things. I'm on my way there for a couple of hours today, then its off to Ambassador Class #4. Today we hear about the police department and get to tour the new police station, meet some of the people there.

There was a robbery at our Credit Union branch yesterday. Guy walks in with a pitchfork ...... . I went there late in the afternoon to get some cash. The branch was closed with a sign in the doorway apologizing for it, and the ATM didn't work, so I had to beg for a cup of coffee on my way home. I went back there this morning. They were open, but the ATM was still out of order. Janet wants me to change banks, so I'll look into alternatives.

We received the good news that our daughter Betty and our granchildren, Amanda 16 and Cameron 14, are coming to visit us in late-April. We haven't seen them in almost a year. So exciting! Betty's bringing wireless-equipped lap top, so we can hang out at the Coffee Plantation some mornings.

And, oh yeah, Happy St. Patrick's Day wherever and however you may be celebrating it. There's an Irish band at Schooner Wharf tonight. There's sure to be a good time at Shanna Key, although we wonder why a bikini contest is on the program for tonight. And the movie "Ray" is playing at Cinema Shores, the outdoor theater at Atlantic Shores. What to do, what to do?
