We're just back from the Conch Republic Independence parade on Duval St. and party at Schooner Wharf with "the kids". Betty (our daughter) and I began the day at Coffee Plantation while the grandkids showered, then had a very nice breakfast at Blue Heaven with Chris (Little Boy) Flowers. Afterwards, we made a bicycle tour of some of the neighborhoods, ending at Schooner Wharf where we arranged for para-sailing for Betty and the kids, while I attended my Ambassador class.
I haven't had much time for blogging, as we've been doing a lot with the family. We did a lot of bicycling, thanks to a neighbor who loaned us three bicycles for Betty, Amanda and Cameron to use.
They're flying back to Boston tomorrow afternoon and, though we'll miss them, everybody will have a chance to recuperate from all the activity, late nights, etc. As they have learned to say: "Life is fun in the fabulous Florida Keys."
I should be back to regular posting by Saturday.
