Op ed column on the Ducks case

Federal Magistrate and local attorney Hugh Morgan responds to an earlier op ed by Charlie Ramos, on the settlement between Historic Tours of America and John Murphy, owner of Duck Tours, leaving the City of Key West as the only defendant, and the unlucky target of what turned out to be a $13.5 million judgement.

IANAL (I am not a lawyer), but I'm left with the feeling that this is simply "spin" on Morgan's part. Morgan's firm, Morgan and Hendrick, seems to be involved in controversy more than the average law firm. His partner, Jim Hendrick, represents the developers of the proposed Watermark development. He is currently under indictment by a federal grand jury for conspiring to obstruct justice, obstruction of justice and two counts of witness tampering, in a case involving former county official Jack London. Hendrick might also have been indicted for bribery in that case, but the statute of limits precluded that.
