I only have a few minutes. I'm between meetings. I want to make a few observations on our birthday celebration for Janet Saturday night.

We planned a nice dinner and to see "Lettice & Lovage" at the Waterfront Playhouse. That's exactly what we did. And it was good. We had dinner on the outside deck at A&B Lobster House. Saturday night was very cool here, but the window curtains were down on the deck and there were heaters working. Afterwards, we bicycled to the Waterfront.

Lettice & Lovage is an English farce by Peter Shaffer, the same who wrote Equus and Amadeus. It starred two brilliant actresses, both with solid English theater backgrounds, and a friend of ours, Kyle Caskey, who too strode the British stage at one time. It was a laugh-filled evening, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were hoping to catch up with Little Boy Flowers at Harpoon Harry's. Saturday was his birthday also and he was partying there with some friends while playing keyboards and singing with some of his musician friends from around town. LB is leaving for California at the end of February. He's going to stay with friends of his family initially, and see where he can take his musical career from the left coast. We arrived just as the band was breaking down, but at least had the opportunity to wish him a happy birthday.
