Michael Suib

On Wednesday, March 1, at 1 p.m. Key West poet, author and Miami Herald columnist Michael Suib will be the guest on public radio WLRN's popular show, Topical Currents, hosted by Joseph Cooper. Suib will talk about his experiences while behind the wheel of his pepto pink taxi, offer his wry but always on the mark observations about the southernmost city (and the people who live in and visit it) and tell you how he sets about finding the absurd in the mundane. His weekly column, Dateline: Paradise, has just celebrated its fourth anniversary and now appears every Sunday in the Miami Herald throughout South Florida.

Michael is also the interviewer for KeysCast. He interviewed me at the Coffee Plantation the week before last, and Theo and Mongo as well. Those interviews are likely to appear at the KeysCast website in the near future.

WLRN's transmitter in Key West was taken off the air a few weeks ago, depriving the Southernmost City of its only public radio outlet. Listen to WLRN streaming live over the internet here.
