Here's a link to some rare and unusual footage taken from home movies shot in Key West in the late 1940s or early 1950s. The Henry J (manufactured by Kaiser Motors) suggest early 1950s. There are short scenes of Duval Street, the Navy Base, Key West Airport (with a flight by National Airlines preparing to depart), and people from a bygone era.
The video is courtesy of "Henry" who posts on YouTube under the id conchskeywest.
It's a look into The Real Key West, past and present.
