Truman Waterfront Update

The Truman Waterfront Park continues to receive a lot of coverage locally, in news storieshere and here, editorials here and here, occasional letters to various editors, and comments on the Key West Citizen's Citizens' Voice call-in line.

In the run-up to the City Commission's workshop on the parking elements of the Master Plan on January 11, there's an opportunity, however slim it might be, for the two affected neighborhoods, Bahama Village and Truman Annex/The Shipyard, to craft an agreement to resolve the matter in a way that will satisfy both. If an agreement can be reached that the community and Commission buy into, the City will be able to move forward with the steps necessary to make the dream a reality.
